Leading Edge CCTV Is Switched On In Uxbridge
SEGRO's west London management team has made its Riverside Way commercial development one of the safest places in the region for businesses, with the launch of a new state of the art CCTV security system.
The installation, with cameras mounted around the Riverside Way scheme, combines high-quality camera technology with the latest recording equipment, and 24 hour monitoring. It is modelled on a highly successful installation on the Slough Trading Estate which dramatically reduced break-ins and criminal damage.
SEGRO has supported the establishment of an independent body, Business Watch, to oversee the installation and maintenance of the CCTV systems. Headed by former police officer John Devine, Business Watch monitors its installations from a Slough-based control centre, and reacts to any suspicious activity by alerting local patrols.
"Our customers are entitled to carry on their business without concerns about break-ins or the personal safety of staff and visitors," says John Devine. "This CCTV system provides just that reassurance." The Business Watch team can monitor premises, cars parked on and off street, and reassure staff leaving premises out of normal hours.
Phil Redding, SEGRO regional manager for west London comments: "Across the whole of our UK business, we regularly survey our customers. With crime a consistent area of concern, we selected and trialled CCTV as the most effective solution. We are now rolling out the system across our new developments in west London, as the technology allows, and Riverside Way is the first of these to see the system go live."
